I went into last nights cup game with 3 in enthusiasm after two crunch games earlier this week. With a bot team as opponent I played Take it Easy and won. So far so good, all according to calculations.
When I check my enthusiasm after the game its still at 3!?
How can this be possible? I have done this routine many times before and I know what im doing. Crunch my way thurough a couple of tight important games just to run on low through the few next games to regain decent enthusiasm.
I know perfectly well how enth works. It always draws toward 5 automatically no matter if you have 10 or 1. The further away from 5 the faster it moves up/down. I also know there are sublevels like all other stats but come on! At 3 with take it easy + the game mechanics ---> 5 and I dont even pop up to 4?
So has anyone been in this situation before or is it an outright bug? I can tell you, I have been at 3 or 8 countless of times taking it easy and not once before have the enth failed to pop. To tell you the truth, over half the times it popped two steps to 5 or 10.
Would be great with some GM feedback on this as it more or less ***** over my coming week of games.

From what I know, TIE raises your enthusiasm by 1/3. So for example, if your enthusiasm was 2.5, it will have been raised to a 3.33. But it had to be really close to 2.5, because if it was 2.7 it would have gone to 3.6 and you would see "4" in the set lineup page

I actually didnt know the exact formula of 1/3.
Considering I came out with a high sublevel of 2 from tuesdays league game and with normal enthusiasm decay/growth in play I find it hard to believe my sublevel of 3 would be so low in the first place going into thursdays cup game.
The growth is pretty immense at low enth. Not as rapid as the decay when you are above 10, but still.
Just didnt think it was technically possible for this to occur with the gaps between the games.
So anyone else experienced this?

I played two CT's in a row a while back, but to be honest I don't remember how fast it came back to 5. According to the math, your enth could have been as low as 2.5, which would then take you to 3.33 after the game. I'm not sure there is a normal daily enthusiasm update in the days after games, but assuming there is you should be really close to 3.5, and I imagine your enthusiasm will show up as "4" come Saturday's game time

You played 2 CT-s in a row. With starting ent of 5 it's pretty normal that you had it @3 after the tie. Remember CT cuts the ent to half, so with 2 CT's you go to 2,5 and then 1,25. The days between games raise it a little. What is there to argue about anyway? If you had ent at 3 before the game and you tied then it's pretty obvious you had it 2,5 or 2,6. I'm pretty sure you have it at 4 before the next game starts.
