A disappointing win for U21 against Luxemburg. We played with much less enthusiasm which was evident in the whole of match. With good streaks in 2nd and 4th quarter we managed to stay alive.
The team was hurt by the early foul trouble of Ftiaratos, 6 fouls in 18 mins, who was responsible for guarding their best player Van Brabant. Good defence on him allowing him only 4-10 shooting, after Ftiaratos 5-7 shooting. Luxemburg had to lose Van Brabant with foul trouble to surrender themselves to Cyprus U21. If he was not out with foul trouble noody could say about the end result.
Cyprus showed balanced attack with 6 players having more than 10 points. Double double by Panousopoulos , with also 4 TO , Keris , with 5 TO, and Smeros.
