First off, thanks for sitting down with me today.

I think starting from season 4, when there was roughly 23,000 players, until now, this has to be the lowest I have ever seen transfer prices. So, do you think these are the lowest prices ever, and if so, was this the intention of BBs as far as economic balance is concerned?

Second part, what factors, other than free agents, can you discuss that contribute to the varying prices of players. Will free agents remain a tool for economic balance for the foreseeable future?

Lastly, with the 55,000 number remaining steady, are there plans to expand the game past that number, or should we as players take more responsibility in spreading the gospel so to speak?

Thanks again.

Can I be sure that if selling today and keeping some millions it is worth basically the same in new season?
Should it be so in the equilibrium?

Ahem, I think now is a buyers market, and selling today is my worry too. Prices seem to be the lowest in a long time. Will they go lower? Who knows, but the smart bet is that your money will be worth less next season.

I think that the smart gambler stays out of this one.

Yes and no - if prices go lower then this renders training practically worthless (froma financial standpoint) which will likely lead to an exodus of managers that drives prices down even lower and then who honestly cares?

Smart bet is to believe that if you train players without major flaws (atrocious handling/passing) then you will get a fair price for the training you've added up to a certain age. If you are making future plans based on the userbase losing managers then you are betting against the success of the game!

I am not betting against the game. I am saying prices are lowest they have been for many seasons. So the 1.1 mil you make off a sale now for player X, will be worth less when prices go back up, which I think they will.

i completely agree with smedlock, training should first and foremost be for improving your team as opposed to selling them on the market. That is just a pleasant incidental benefit when the prices are high.

No, it just means training will be used as a tool to improve your team rather than a wealth creation tool.

Ha- so which wealth creation tool will remain for new teams so that they can upgrade their arenas? Draft???

Without training profits the game dies at the bottom end.

It is clearly stated in the game manual that the transfer list is an integral part of the game and one of the primary means by which to improve your team. When I began I also thought that the TL was a secondary thing until I saw teams like Sharman shoot past me in the global rankings. If you want to have a mediocre team, then by all means don't use the TL. If you want to have a good team, then you must train and sell players to compliment the players you train to keep.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.
