I am currently focusing on expanding my arena. I was wondering if ticket sales are based on percentage of total seats or simply a number of ticket sold.

For example, team A would sell 85% of the available to seats to the game. I this is the case larger stadiums would sell more tickets. IF the attendance is not percentage based, then for the same game, team A might just simply sell 5300 tickets.

Percentage based sales are a larger incentive to expand the stadium. Straight number I would just be building empty seats.

I realize there are lots of factors affecting ticket sales.

When building your arena, you have to kind of work with it a bit to figure out what percentage of your arena should be each type of seat, and you'll have to mess with the prices to maximize your profit.

It's strictly a number of seats, not a percentage; for example, my arena's around 5850 seats. Perhaps I have 5792 seats full, AKA 99%, but the percentage doesn't carry over if for the same game I had perhaps 6500 seats, I would probably still sell 5792 seats, not the 6435 seats for 99%.

There are, however, several other factors that work into the amount of people that attend your games.
-If you lower the price of the tickets, more people will buy that type of seat, but changing the Luxury boxes for example 10 dollars probably won't increase the attendance any.
-Another factor is the division you're in. People in higher divisions will typically sell more seats per game, but it'll probably cost more to pay the salary of your players (better players = higher salary, but you probably know that).
-How you do during your games will typically affect the attendance a bit. For example, I sold 5212 tickets to a game that I won, and then I won the away game later that week, so the next home game I played, I sold 5269 seats. Losing will usually make the attendance drop a bit.
-The TYPE OF GAME is a big factor in the attendance. For example, I sold 5212 tickets to the game I mentioned earlier. A few days later, I played a national tournament game, and sold 5305 seats; 93 more. You don't get any income from ticket sales in a national tournament game, however; if you win, you get $50,000 until a certain round, then if you win you get a certain about higher. I haven't made it that far to this point in my BB career so I can't exactly specify that.
-Fan Survey. It doesn't affect attendance too much, but it will help you see about what will happen for your next game; a better outcome to your fan survey (usually resulting from winning your last game and not selling any players for a while among other things) will usually result in an increase in fan turnout. A higher level PR manager will usually help too.

Other factors probably exist, but I can't tell you exactly what they are. Remember though, that in a higher division, you'll need more seats to sell.

I hope this helps!

It's just TICKET based as the above poster mentioned, but by lowering prices you can make your profit per game much bigger...
