i bought a SF (but playing SG) a few weeks ago and in his first few matches he was shooting rubbish. then last week i bought another SF (to play SF not a replacement) and since then he has been my top scorer? how does that work? his game shape has gone up but only from average to respectable to strong. (he got 35 points in a game on respectable)

I'm not sure why but it happened to one of my players as well. One of my players's rating is generally 8-9 but in the last cup match, he played really rubbish and his rating was 4.5...I think it happens randomly. Even in reality, a player may be playing super well but may not happen to play in one single match...but this is just my guess.

Are you refering to Hashmat Firosh in your latest cup game?

His suggested position for his skills is PF. Yet the 4.5 game he had he was played at SG. Seems like he was out of position. furthermore he played 48 minutes. Ratings tend to go down the longer a player plays due to the stamina effect. Although he gets 8s when he is played in a more comfortable position at 20 min a game, it is hardly surprising that he would turn up a 4.5 rating when played out of position for 48 minutes

Yeah, but he's better as SF etc and I'm training him to be a SF. Well I used him as SG sometime back I think and that time his rating was higher. And yeah like you said, him playing 48 minutes let the rating go down (which I didn't know of).

Could be coincidence or does your new SF have higher Passing then your old SF? This could give your SG better shots

In general my team sucks at passing. I only started this game at the end of last season so my team still sucks...

it could maybe be due to your offence being great against your opponent's defense tactics
or when your player did bad, he could hav just had a bad shooting night. it happens to my players
