I didn't see a discussion of this anywhere, so I figured I'd start one.

.....are the Knicks insane?? I mean, come on, I've been mocking Dolan for years, but this is a new low.

Best line I've seen so far discussing this bizarre move:

"This isn't just like the Redskins re-hiring Steve Spurrier or Enron exhuming Ken Lay. This is like the Titanic re-hiring the iceberg."

Since the NCAA has decided it's not a conflict of interest for Thomas to coach FIU and work for the Knicks (which is a whole other discussion about insanity), it's up to the NBA to block the hiring. Hopefully someone over there has some common sense.

Yeah i really have no idea what is going on over there. After spending the last few seasons cleaning up his mess, they've finally gotten into a position to start putting things together properly and they're going to bring back the guy who messed it all up in the first place?

Maybe Thomas has some compromising photos of Knicks ownership or kidnapped his kids or something, it's the only way any of it makes a inch of sense.

Sports in Brief: Thomas rejects Knicks' job offer

Isiah Thomas won't be returning to the New York Knicks, after all.

Thomas said Wednesday that he was declining a position as a consultant with the franchise he ran for 41/2 years because the position might not be legal.

The Knicks announced the agreement with Thomas on Friday. League personnel are not allowed contact with players who are not yet eligible for the draft, which Thomas would have in his role as Florida International coach

Good to know Isiah Thomas is still delusional:

"I think I can win in New York, and I think I was really close to winning in New York."

Um.... what?

Worst manager ever!

Do the Knicks still have their 2099 draft pick?
