At player history box, add the year they been on the all-star team

its still kinda like those dudes threads on adding awards for players

It would add a bit more fun to the game, IMHO...Not everything associated with the game has to be useful...:)

And what about the selection process? I've posted this in other thread but i think it fits here as well...

"What about the selection being made by the users competing in each league? Each user could choose up to 3 players per position with points linked to that choice (like this...my top listed PG gets 5 points, the 2nd gets 3 and the 3rd gets 1 point...same to other positions)...The top 2 voted at each position would make the roster..."

No, if you're not allowed to do so...For instance, in Champions League, coaches vote to select best player at each position and they cannot vote for their own players...it makes sense...

Desagreeing here as well...If you have a deadline to make your selections (like Monday, with the ASG being as it is...) you can have the chance to make it work...Anyway if a league has bot teams and "human" teams (like my league...) i could still be able to cast my vote on a bot player...Concerning bot teams there could be 2 ways: they don't vote or choices are randomly made...None of them would be unfair, i think but, personally, the 2nd solution makes more sense to me as it could be applied to 100% bot leagues...

I think this process could be a way to get the BB community more involved in the ASG...And we must have something back for having just 2 games this week...:)

Also, the have the MVP vote results(if you are near the top), why not all-star. In my mind, it is sort of the same thing

I'm glad someone else made this thread before me. you HAVE to start recording All-star game stats for each player, and display it under the career averages in the player page. Number of games should be an added column. Hell maybe it should have its own section at the bottom of the page.


Why?

First off its not that much data that has to be saved. Its just a small group of players per league once a year who will have the honor of those stats.

Second, websites like NBA.com list player all-star stats under their career stats, because it in fact is important. How often does an announcer introduce a high caliber NBA player by preceding his name with the number of all-stars they were awarded?

It matters, and its important to the realism of the sim. I think anything that adds more dimensions to how we perceive these virtual players will bring a richer experience to the site.


If I sound like i've already got my cards thrown into the idea its probably cause I had 5 players voted to the all-star this year

I agree. It would have been nice to have it displayed on each players page, along with NT games, but I don't think it should count in under career averages because you can not choose whether or not to play that player in an All Star match. I also think that outtakes for the All Star match should be on account of stats per 48 minutes (with a minimum minutes played, not the more the merrier).

A separate section or a icon(link to the games) that appears if if the player has NT games or Allstar games. That would spice up a NT/Allstar player page a lot.
