Considering I somewhat molding my team after yours, i thought you would have a good handle on this question :)

To be honest from doing quite a bit of research it looks like a soft cap on income. So payback period is lengthy. However, I don't think it is wrong to up your stadium beyond 20K seats. The reason is because its a one-time investment with zero maintain costs. Also while being a soft-cap, there is benefit to being larger. Lastly, it seems the largest teams are more worried about winning cups, winning leagues, or staying in their division to be worried about adding some arena space.

BTW, nice bidding war we had the other day :) I still think you got a great deal on the player! I just had to test ya. My day-trading is coming to end now - thanks to the tax...

Now it's time to try to work with what I got, or fire some of them, which is OK I only got 14 mostly 18-21 old cheapos.

(If you message me personally--I'll give you the %'s I believe that matter most to you on this question...)

Where are you seeing that? I have not been able to find any cap information related to stadiums other than max seats courtside and luxury box . . . .

I am kinda glad the BB's leave some of the equations left out. I can see its role. There are some really good number crunchers that can gain an advantage by using discovery.

Of course, its people like me that tend to brag or like to give the answer that take away that discovery notion. There are helper programs most notably "trainer parrot" that gives probably the best engine guide I have seen.

Yeah the tax sucks, but still its gives me something to do in my crappy-boring league. :)
Have noticed some of the patters you had been speaking of on the market. Noticed I can't find good American trainees now, but there are still some gems selling overseas. I am thinking I'll hang up the trading for the time being because of that and the tax. Hoping to find some good trainees after the draft as people get rid of their bad trainees (which would be my good trainees lol).

You can reach a max of incomes from arena depending mainly from the division you are in(I,II,III,IV and so on) and from your record in your league(and cup),no matter the way you r each it

in a III division the max that you can gain is around 180 k,no matter if you reach it with a lot of seats at low price,or if with less seats with an higher price

The cap appears to be revenue based to me. Boss and I had a lengthy discussion last season when he was in my League. I'll attempt to summarize.

He had built 10 luxury boxes and I had built 5. I charge $800 in Div V and collect $4 grand per week from selling out my 5 seats. Boss had to cut his ticket price to $400 to sell all 10 luxury boxes, so he could only make the same $4 grand per week I did. Conclusion, you can only make $4 grand per week from luxury boxes in D V. I have confirmed that with considerable surveying last season, as well as checking from my notes back in seasons 3, 4 and 5 when I first tried this game out.

If you look at the cost to build each type of seat, it is 20 times the initial price (that is, the ones you get when you sign up). that means the implicit payback period is 20 home games (not quite two seasons) if you stick to the initial price. If you over build, you have to cut the ticket price and increase your payback period.

There are no carrying costs to overbuilding (as there are in Hattrick, for example) but it is essentially dead money that isn't producing either additional revenue or better players.

The lower priced seats are much harder to estimate because they depend so much more on performance. I built for the playoffs and overestimated the number of courtside seats I could sell now. I expect to sell 125 courtside in the playoffs, as well as more bleachers then, but I don't want to spend the extra 100k to upgrade the bleachers now when I'll be doing a big upgrade after promotion.
