Atm I am playing BB along with my 5 friends and we got the supporter because we are interested in private league...
after learning that there are other groups like us.... we created a new private league with the intention to vs the other groups (http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/pl/6118/overview.aspx). I hope in future the BB-god can add an extra option to Private league to cater for groups vs groups...

Yo! Yo! D for D best PF in D Aussie BB. D Name is Kye Duffill (10080211), averages nothing but pure amazing! Vote for Duffman!

A great idea and one I obviously support. It would save me a lot of time from having to do our ladders each week and help to avoid mistakes. But you are wrong about one thing...5 friends? Perhaps "5 perople that I play BB with and who are barely able to tolerate my existence" would be more accurate.

I think I get what you're after. I think a term like "association" or "affiliates" or "confederacy" or "league" (etc.) would be better than "clan". If we had clans, I might get the urge to search for an ogre on TL to play center on my team, or to train my PG in spell casting ability. Otherwise, it's an intriguing idea, to create a level of affiliation for private league purposes with groups of users that are smaller than the small countries.

Yeah ! It's a guild ! Guild vs Guild. Clan vs Clan. This concept will add another interesting aspect to the game ! I definitely love it.

It makes me think of the 90s : East vs West | Los Angeles vs New York | U.S.A. vs U.S.R.R. | N.W.O vs W.W.C. ~ HaHaHaHa !
When surfing on several League forums, we can find a similar approach between General Managers : Great 8 vs. Big 8. It creates a pleasant atmosphere, managers feels like they are more into the game. Adding this suggestion adds another way of playing at BuzzerBeater.

U.R.S.S.? Do you mean the USSR? That sort of didn't make it very far into the 90s... After Rocky Balboa beat Ivan Drago in his own country, I think the end was inevitable.

I hear what you're all getting at, but we already have:
-regular season games with an all-star game and playoffs
-national Cup tournaments
-private leagues
-BBB tournament
-national team tournaments
-U21 national team tournaments
-scrimmages

Adding another layer of rivalries to the mix seems overwhelming. If the guild/clan/federation/alliance/club-thing is something that transcends just BB, then it's probably best organized off-site. PLs can be set up as two-team leagues if individual arcade-style matches are needed to facilitate a special tournament. Maybe the PL schedule needs to have an option to allow the schedule to be manually set up rather than randomly established, and that the schedule duration also be customizable so that all matches are only between rivals. That would help with these sorts of competitions. But it seems like a like of work for the developers (who do not have a lot of potential (98580.417)).

LOL for the developers potential and Rocky ;).

As far as I'm concerned, I was not asking for something official. Just like you 'suggested', it'll be cool if we could choose options in the current private league system in order to compete with our rivals.

Because at the end, all I'm (we're) searching for is something :
That would help with these sorts of competitions.

Rocky: I see three of him out there.
Paulie: Hit the one in the middle.
Duke: Right! Hit the one in the middle.

Drago: He's not human. He's like a piece of iron.

ok you guys didnt get what we meant at all.

we meant a pl in which there 2 groups of teams like in a normal league there is the big 8 and great 8.

the pl games consist of only "cross over games" big 8 vs great 8

but we can name each side our selves.

so that a group vs another group can play against each other.

this style is allready having great results in aussie only pl's

we would just like the option so we dont have to create our own tables and record our own stats and stuff.

i think its a great add to the current pl options.

but its cool be twits and make fun of a good idea
