I don't understand the logic behind this system at all. I've read quite a bit but it doesn't really make sence to me. I would really appreciate it if someone could just either tell me they also don't agree or point out what i am not getting.

I spent most of the season doing TiE and winning, so my enthusiasm was at 9. Today I had a TV game and I didn't want to win. I wanted to utterly crush the other team for my loyal fans so I crunch timed it. I figured I would lose 1 enthusiasm maybe 2. Low and behold my enthusiasm is down to 5...

4 enthusiasm is what it costs to crush a team i was gonna defeat with TiE? I play Basketball for a team and I guarantee you every now and again my coach says its crunch time vs a weak team. Because even stronger teams sometimes loose. But when we win we don't loose enthusiasm, much less when we have like double there score...

Well, TIE increases your current enthusiasm by 33%, and CT decreases your current enthusiasm by 50% (cutting it in half).
Each day, your enthusiasm creeps a little closer to 5 (the further away from 5, the faster it goes towards 5).

So there is no way you can lose 1 or 2 enthusiasm points with CT, unless you start with a 2 or 4 enthusiasm that day.

50% that's so harsh. Must of read wrong somewhere or not been paying much attention when i researched it.

Whats the logic behind it though? Players pushed themselves to the limit or something?

Edit:

I have 4 games before the playoffs. Is it feasible that I could get to 9 in that time? or higher?

5*1.33= 6.65 -> 6*1.33=7.98 -> 7*1.33=9.31-> 9*1.33=11.97

The logic is that it creates another tactical aspect for smart managers to overcome managers who rely on having a stronger roster but no interest in learning the game and how it works. So many people who play this game try to tie it to real life experiences, when the reality is the game engine is "based" on basketball and not a 100% replica. Basketball is played on a court with a ball, buzzerbeater is played on a computer with mathematical equations...

50% is definately higher than the real life equivalent, but anything less would ruin the game for those who take the time to study the game and set a relivant strategy.
