they are all big men. have been training 1 position for IS or RB or ID this season. each one of them has 8-9 pops. should i train some secondary skills? how can i avoid too high salary next season? should I sell 1 to 2 of them at high price at the end of the season?

ok, so first of all, if you want that they get in u21 squad, you must train them very well, this mean, 1 position training(48+ minutes per week) and second one, you must buy a decent coach, I mean minimum lvl 5.

After that, begin the training process. I think you can go till sensational IS and ID and after that give them some Reb and SB. Also, you can train some JS, PA and of course HA.If you want to grow they driving, and handling very fast, you must give them some one to one training, for forwards.
Also, you can speak with u21 squad coach, and he will give you some more advices concerning certain player training.
Good luck ;)

These are nice looking trainees, but all of them with significant weaknesses. I don't know how competitive your country's U21 is, but I think it will be hard for them to make it into the team.

Player 1: For Center-training he is a little small to compete with other guys on the long term. You might see the differences after 2 seasons. He has good sub skills though (except OD and DR) but you could make a nice SF/PF out of him, but that might take a long time (maybe not enough to become a U21-player because it will take much time to grow his OD).

Player 2: four times atrocious is really hard in my eyes. For a Center skills like OD/HA/DR play minor roles, but they still have an effect on his performance. Especially an atrocious Handling will cause many turnovers and also his OD will lower his rating when he plays against Centers with some JS. Due to his hight it would take too much time to raise these skills.

Player 3: His HA and PA is really bad as you can see. But, his other skills are really nice though. He can be able to outscore most opponents' Centers and also stop them on the other side. Maybe he even has a chance to become a U21 player and NT player.

So, my suggestion would be to continue Center-training. You can even keep all of these three players next season and sell Player 1 afterwards to someone who wants to give him some Guard-skills. You could also sell him this upcoming off-season in case you'll get a good Center-trainee during your draft.
Player 2 and 3 (especially 3) can become good Centers, I'm just not sure if they can make it into the U21.
To lower their salary increase you can give them some more SB instead of pushing ID/IS/RE. But only if you think its worth it to "waste" time training it.

About the trainer. Its not really proven that it is necessary to have a trainer above level 4. The differences seem to be very little. But if you can afford you can get yourself a level 5 trainer. but at least level 4.

I would rather have a player with 2.06 and some secondaries than 226 and atrocious.

True. But it also depends how many atrocious there are. If its only passing, or handling, or outside defense its okay I think.
In this case I would still prefer to train the two bigs because I think, after a couple seasons they will be better centers than the small one, due to their main skills, even with very weak secondary skills. But thats just my opinion:)

thanks for all the replies. at this moment i prefer to keep player 1 and 3 and sell player 2 during the off-season. player 3 is from my own country so i'll keep him. i'll give him some one-on-one and passing training so hopefully his skills will become sth like this by the end of next season:

Jump Shot: strong Jump Range:pitiful
Outside Def.: strong Handling: inept
Driving: strong Passing: inept
Inside Shot: tremendous Inside Def.: wondrous
Rebounding: wondrous Shot Blocking: respectable
Stamina: pitiful Free Throw: atrocious

which i hope will be good enough for the U21.

as for player 1, he's from a pretty small country. i think he has a chance to make the U21. I think i'll give him some one-on-one to improve driving and OD to average or so. i'm pretty happy with his other skills. actually when i bought him it says his best position was PF. i dunno when it changed to C.

for player 2, 4 atrocious are a headache and also he is from a pretty high-ranking country so i think i'll give up.

Here I'm not agree with you, my friend, because if you want to have a NT/U21 player, you need at least a lvl 5 coach. Because, the difference between a lvl 4 and lvl 6 training is significant for a player for u21 squad, you earn few skill up's,in few seasons, and this is very important for a u21 prospect. Generally, I think, the lvl 6 or 7 is the best for such prospects, but they are situations when some teams con afford big salaries and money to buy such coaches, and in this situations, the optimal solution is to buy a lvl 5 coach, but if you want to have a marvelous player in u21 team, you must buy a lvl 6-7 trainer, and I say you this basing on my own experienced, because I had a lot of trainer of different lvl's, and my conclusion is this :-)

Okay, one thing I have to say here:)

If I calculated correctly, you want him to have 24 skill ups by the end of next season. This is about 25 weeks from now on (maybe one more or less). I think this is very optimistic:) If it was all inside skills, I'd say its possible, but to give him 4 in each, passing and handling will take about 16 weeks (I'm assuming 2 weeks per skill up for a twenty year old of this hight). The same with OD. But you can at least give it a try, maybe he is not as slow as I expect.
The second thing. Train OD is maybe not a bad idea. I'm still looking at the tall guy who could be a defensive beast one day with even more OD. But, don't expect him to get skill ups very fast. OD takes about 2 weeks even for small players.

I myself have changed from a level 4 to a level 6 trainer a few months ago, and to be honest, I cannot see the difference. Of course, there must be one, otherwise there wouldn't be different levels:) But I would like to see studies about it first, to say that it is for sure, that you need such a high level to create a U21 or NT player.
