Big 8 MVP:
Flaviu Dobrin (Phoenix 5)
Little Dobrin was the offensive master for Phoenix 5 in their thrilling win over The Tasmanian Eagles. He put up 33 points and dished out 12 assists to help the 5 scrape home a 2 point win. He did it all in a very effecient manner with just the 1 turnover and 12-20 from the field.

Runner Ups:

Leslie Gafa (Lewisham Wombats)
In another thrilling match Leslie lead the way for the Wombats in their 3 point win in the battle of the Big 8 powerhouses against Black Label Society, Leslie put up 36 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in the win and kept his opponent to just the 10 points.

Tyler Chowdhary (AVALON JETS)

The JETS fell short off the rare 100 point win against a depleted Berwick Beers and while it was a great all round team effort with no one scoring above 22 points despite the team total of 140 the blond bandit Tyler Chowdhary deserve a mention. From SG he hit 11 of his 12 shots, he dished out 10 assists and grabbed 6 rebounds while also nabbing 4 sneaky steals.

Great 8 MVP:

Werner Efinger (Pancakes)

The new german recruit looks to have finally found his feet with the Pancakes and he used his speed to worry recent MVP vote getter Mathieu Desbos all night and kept the big man out of the mix with constant foul trouble.
Efinger finished with 30 points and 20 rebounds but limited Desbos to just 9 points in 29 minutes of play.

Runner up:

Sui Haili (Coolcats)
The Coolcats shooter has been on a hot streak lately and he continued his offensive performance against the Meateors with a big 49 point performance, hitting 17-30 shots including 7 from beyond the arc in the 16 point win. This was Sui's 3rd game in a row with 35+ points.

Reni Doyle (Lara Giants)

Doyle scored 20 points off 10-13 shooting, had 14 rebounds and 2 blocks in a tight one against the Snuffies to keep the Giants slim playoff hopes alive with just 3 games remaining in the regular season.
Doyle had a solid night but really came up clutch at the end for the Giants, driving the lane for a huge two handed dunk in the final seconds to put his team up 1 and eventually win the game.

Rising Star:

Third - Roy Warden (LAR)

Warden made the most of his limited time on the floor in the Giants' 1 point win over Snuffies. Despite playing just 12 minutes, Warden shot 6 FTs, and scored 11 points, along with dragging down 5 boards.

Second - Daniel Esparraguerra (DON)

The man with the excessively long name had a typically efficient scoring performance in Doncaster's win over Haggards. Daniel scored 15 points in just 19 minutes, and added 3 boards and 3 assists.

First - Mikey Bergman (BHB)

With this performance, we can pretty well lock away the rising star award for season 13. Bergman notched up 24 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds, but couldn't stop the Boys from losing to the Pancakes.
