When browsing a thread you can only navigate one page forwards or backwards, or skip to the first or last page. Some threads grow very large and if you want to read a bunch of messages that are in the middle pages then it is very tedious to find them.

My suggestion is that there should be a bar at the top of the screen with all the page numbers, and clicking each number would take you straight to that page. Most forums work this way.

If you look at the URL in the address bar it will look something like this:
http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/forum/read.aspx?thread=156727&m=1

The number at the end that I have put in bold represents the post number that is displayed first.
You could change that to 46 and it will show you the 46th post in the thread.

Your suggestion would make things better, but in the mean time you can do what I said above :)
