Predictions

Big 8

Cleveland Crazys @ Marietta Magic. The Magic have their big men Ryan and Mannu ready for playoff basketball, with proficient and strong game shape respectively. Surely Magic's offense will be focused on getting them the ball down low time and time again. The Crazys have just as good of game shape all around and the advantage of having taken their last home game easy. The added enthusiasm will surely give them a boost, but will it be enough to stop the most dominant big men tandem since Chow and Garnier? I dont think so, but my guess is the match is a thriller that goes down to the wire in overtime ending with Magic on their way to the semis and one step closer to their goal of being div III.4 champions.

E.C. High-Flyers @ Champaign. The Flyers had to use more enthusiasm to beat Champaign in the final regular season game in order for them to get the chance to play them again in the playoffs. This will put them at a disadvantage, but it also gives them the confidence that if they beat them last week, why not do it again this week? I say with the two teams playing Playoff Crunch and Gajda in the starting line-up for Champaign they'll win in a pretty close contest.

Both Big 8 plyoff matches are going to be exciting and could result with both being upsets or neither. A lot of it is going to come down to if there are any injuries or foul trouble during the games.

Great 8

Prov City Investors @ 1Derz Bangerz. Both teams are entering the game with good enthusiasm, but Investors have the confidence of winning the last matchup. Carmona is going to be ready to ready for playoff basketball, after taking the final game off, and I say he leads his team in an impressive upset over the Bangerz.

Chicago Goats @ The Illusion. Two rivals going head to head in the first round of playoffs, what could be more exciting? The Illusion have the obvious edge, but will they underestimate their opponents despite whats on the line? Goats are going to need a huge performance from Partridge and Candia, but I don't thing they'll be able to break through Illusions defense first attitude of Season 13.

Woo I'm pumped, can't wait for the results

Feel free to post your own predictions.

Mayagotia isn't as good as he once was and his competition has gotten better. I think PCI has really improved this season and he's gonna surprise you.

I expect this game to be real close. If Carmona does not foul out things will look good. If he fouls out, big trouble for PCI. I expect a competitive matchup on the road. Should be a great game. The Illusion is a wise GM. I agree with all of his predictions. This would be a 1st win for PCI in div 3. If I recall, the Bangerz were a force 3 seasons ago when I came in to this league. This would be a franchise win. I also expect the Illusion prefers the Bangerz in round 2 after our last matchup. I'm still 1-2 full seasons away from really making a run at anything. Seriously, I need the play-off cash!

I'm playing with house money. Any win would be a franchise game for PCI. Gael may be for sale after this season. But he is going to fetch me Div 1 money. I will be able to rebuild my entire squad better with his proceeds. He will be tough to sell! Good Luck Tomorrow Night. And get it straight.... PCI is a vasoline GM!

I can say this, Candiia and Partridge are all that I have on this team. Cantrell is past the point of no return ... meaning, i cannot even sell him. Galvao Veiga Paz is useless at the beginning of the season and then when I attempt to sell him, he becomes useful. Typical Brazilian. Lowell Webber is nothing more than a role player at best right now.

Candia and Partridge are most likely gone after the season ... or at least Candia will be because I just cannot afford to keep their salaries. Chances are 70/30 that Candia leaves and 55/45 that Partridge leaves. Right now, Candia is more versatile so I may lean toward maximizing Partridge's value on the market since he is younger and Candia is no longer trainable and comes at a cheaper cost. The question then becomes who slides to Center or Power Forward because Candia was huge for me at PF for most of the season.

Right now, it's about surviving. I'm sitting on $74K in the bank right now but a playoff win means nothing at this point.

Players likely to move:
Partridge
Veiga Paz - if I can find a damn suitor, it's been six weeks now, lol, plus I think Teddy Titus is ready

I bought Candia with the intention of busting some heads through the league because I figured that my front court of Candia/Partridge combined with the outside talents of Cantrell/Veiga Paz would be forceful enough but Cantrell and Veiga Paz actually declined. My SF position is still unsettled after starting out with Titus Harvey so I could have a 3 bigs pretty much guarding the likes of Mannu/Ryan, or Beavers, Mayagoitia, Statovci. I planned but they couldn't deliver since Harvey's production declined and I was forced to start Webber back at SF when he's better off coming off the bench.

Illusion's road to finals is wide open, I can't see anyone stop them. However things are tougher on our side of the bracket. Any of the 4 teams can win the conference. Tachenko vs. Armageddons will also be another great match up. I still can't get how Tachenko found themselves in relegation battle. I had my fair share of injuries so far, and I don't want another on this stage of the season. Good luck to everyone!
