I have seen the following situation a few times, team A is down by 3 with 20-24 seconds left. In my limited experience, team A ALWAYS tries a 3 point shot. That is not always the best tatic, especially against poor FT shooting teams. There should be an endgame tatic to choose. Take a quick 2 and then foul. Even if that team hits both FTs your still lin the same boat, you need a 3 tie, but miss one and you only need a 2, miss them both, and now a 2 wins the game.

I've also noticed that down by 5 with less than 48 seconds will often do the same thing, your team starts chucking 3's.

My team for example is a better inside team, so chucking 3's is not a very good tatic, until I absolutely have to start chucking them or I get one with a good look.

Food for thought.

really nice thought... but have in mind that the result of a game comes out 15mins earlier (that's why you cannot change the lineups 15mins prior to match) and then the Game Engine creates an as close as possible to reallity image of the already calculated result.

so I don't know if what you say is possible... or if this is already happening on the calculation of the result...

This would be something you would select while setting up your lineup and tactic as this is a tactic :)

Suggestions are probably more effective if they're posted in the suggestion forum.

Really good post actually. I've been watching some of the games and your suggestion actually makes the game more realistic.

This is incorrect. The calculations do happen 15 minutes before you watch the game, but they are simulated play-by-play. It is not done by creating a score and then filling in a play-by-play to match the score.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.
