Who would be interested if you could sign on to buzzerbeater any time of day and challenge any team to a game in arcade style.

I would expect this to be a supporter only option and encourage more time spent on the site. This would be outside the PL option (an extra pay option)

What would it be worth $5 a month? More/less?

Don't come back with it isn't possible because of the servers etc. This is to see who it would appeal to and what cost you place on being able to sign on and instantly challenge someone else online - lay down your chosen team and do battle.

I'm not sure about challenging anytime, but I definitely would like to see two or three PL games a week, so that you could get in a home/away schedule within one season.

I would definitely pay 5 dollars a month to be able to challenge anyone (any supporter) at any time.
Would definitely make me more interested in the game because I hate not being able to play against friends without having to create a PL and play one match a week.

And it would also help in the scheduling of the PLs. It would ensure a home and away fixture for the larger PLs cause right now if you have a 16 team league, it would take you 2 whole seasons to finish if you try to have a home and away fixture. Now the standard normal league is 16 teams so I don't see why PLs should be treated differently and have to host games in a neutral site so the games finish roughly the same as one normal BB season

You can study from others results and get the same benefit. (if there was indeed this benefit to be had)

Fact is the forums themselves simply pass on information to those that spend less time on the game than others. Is it therefore an advantage to read the forums and log in more often in order to absorb all the information contained herein?

I think most people would look at it in a way that they can just pay & play. If you want to spend your time playing to lose and trying to figure out 1 of the many variables this game possesses then sooner or later that information will show up in the forums and we'll all benefit from it. (again assuming that it is possible to find more stuff out)

I'd use the option to re-create many old classic match-ups and then best of 7/9 series against the usual suspects that are still hanging about after 10 seasons :D

You are right. I used to be a CCG player and before any big tournament we would test our decks against all the decks we expected to face, again and again, until we became really familiar with the matchups and knew exactly what to do. This would be too much of an advantage for unlimited games.

However the option of having 2 PL games a week or being in a second PL would be awesome. I am sure 99% of users don't follow BBB or the NTs in detail so for them sunday and monday are just dead days, a second PL day for supporters + would surely be good.

The only downside is it may alienate a lot of normal supporters that may feel that now they don't have the "best" bb experience.

Perhaps if it simply costs 1 dollar to challenge another team to a game. So if I want to play my friend, I deposit 1 dollar in to my "Challenge Bank" or if I already have money in my "Challenge Bank" then I don't need to deposit any more money, and then I can look at the "Challenge Page" and every single team that has money in their "Challenge Bank" is listed. Then you can challenge one of these teams to a game, and if they accept then 1 dollar is taken from you and 1 dollar is taken from them and the game is run as soon as both teams accept or at a designated time. The team that challenges can choose the options they want, for example injured players allowed or not, time of match, home court or neutral court, etc etc.
