Also, the staff salary increases each week by a certain percentage. Therefore, the amount you pay each week will increase for your new trainer.

Although it would increase by a lower amount ($, not %) each week than with your other trainer, so it could be argued it takes less than 10 weeks to see a return on investment

That's exactly what I said - or intended to be read - that is, due to it being a percentage, the $ amount is different due to the different based value which results in a quicker return.

a level 5 increase his salary in 2%

each level increase (or decrease) in 0.25%

I think what he was trying to say is that the raises start out small because they are based on a percentage of a smaller salary figure. Because they start out small and gradually increase, you will see your greatest savings during the earliest portion of a staff member's employment. Decimenos is correct: (71059.9)

As bonespawn said - although, the greatest savings would actually be after each week as the $ amount difference between the two would increase, rather than decrease.
