Hi,

I just got promoted to DivIII
this is my 1st time here.
looks like i am 2-3 seasons away from seriously competing

i already have full arena
currently have 2.5 mil cash

i don't feel like buying any FA at the moment. to me it's a waste of money if i can't compete for championship
i think i can stay in DivIIi with what i have at the moment

don't feel the need to upgrade my staff, currently have advanced trainer
my trainees aren't that great to require a better trainer

so what can i do to invest and get a return on my money.

currently i am on pace to make $150K a week

Wow. You are in a truly remarkable situation! You will have to spend literally nothing on your arena for the rest of your BB career.

Right now the worst thing you can do is sit with this much money in the bank and transfer prices essentially bottomed out. There are many different things you can do here. Since you're on track to turn a $150K profit, you can add some big-time players on the transfer market and compete right away.

If I were you I would run -- don't walk -- to the transfer list where you can snatch up a couple of $40-60K bigs for a million or less each. Explore the possibility of using the rest to get a superior trainer. I prefer single-position training, but in your case you have a great setup for double-position training. You have five guards -- Betts, Fultz, Barzanti, Pashazade (listed as SF), San Roman -- who are between 20-22 and are 6'3 or shorter. No, they aren't perfect trainees, but all will still improve pretty quickly if each gets 48 minutes.

You are in a great position both to compete now and to train for the future. At the end of the season, you'll be able to sell off a couple of the trainees at a nice profit and fill in any other holes you may have. Don't be afraid to be aggressive here.

thx
but if i grab 2 bigs for 2 Mil each with 40K-60K salary
that would leave me with about 50K weekly income
for the entire course of the season 14 weeks , that's 1.4 mil to keep those big men
if i don't get the 1st seed and get Home court advantage
i will be a poor man by the end of the season

so if i don't win the championship
what difference does it make if i get 1 or 2 playoff games compare to none?
am i not better off to play in the relegation series?
and get good picks?+ about same income

while my trainees can have 1 season to get to the above avg level in my league?
in this case i would have 4 MIL in the bank by the end of this season
for season 15, with my guards ready to fill the void in positions 1-3
i will be in a better position to get premier big men and compete for a championship

looks like you know what your doing so you probably want to train guards I would presume?

then go out and snatch up a couple of great 18/19 years old trainees and train them up.
next season you have the money to buy those big men then you would have a complete team

But if he is not going to single-position train then buying $1M prospects doesn't make sense to me. However, what you could do is buy not brand new prospects but 19-20 yr olds that have already been single-position trained for a season or two, and then work them into the 2 position training.

The other option is to just hold on to it and see how you are doing. If you feel like you might be in jeapordy of relegating you could get some FAs to help keep you in DIII if not actually compete. But I would also suggest an upgrade to superior trainer.

Since your arena is already built there is really nothing else to spend your money on. You could change the name of your arena every week I guess :p
