(Thought I would post this here so it doesn't get lost in the masses)

Been an interesting first couple of games.

In the Great 8 - Not surprisingly Haggards have found their way to the top of the ladder followed closely (but likely not for long) by my very own Violationers. Already we have seen losses to ANU and Whitebeard two teams expected to make the final 4 this season. Not to mention last season's 4th placed finisher on the bottom of the ladder (after 2 tie games). WC Steel has been unlucky to be sitting on 2 losses and 7th place, after two very close misses (including a sneaky near miss against my lads). 4 teams sitting on 1-1 says there is still a long way to go but we should get a good picture of things to come over the next couple of weeks.

In the Big 8
- On the East Geelong Blazers have used a nice early draw to get off to a flying start winning 2 from 2 and currently sit in top spot, holding the highest PD of any team so far. Moosas Mad Men managed a magnificent victory over early flag favourites Beechy and sit equal 2nd. Belmore Aces have moved to the bottom and look to be getting comfortable early on though the odd upset is still expected. The big surprise here is last season's prelim finalist Crush Lakers are equal bottom saved only by PD. Same as the West there are 4 teams on 1-1 but we should see things fall into place after a couple more games.

League Leaders

'What's Pass' Award - Oliver Ðuričko (Chelsea Seagulls) currently leads the way in scoring with 39 ppg.

'Glass Polishing' Award - Ky Smelts (Sastroopers) has been working hard on the glass with 23 rpg.

'Dish Delish' Award - Enrique Fontecha (The Victorian Allstars) is on top of the assist leaderboard with 8 apg.

'My Precioussss' Award - Ischa Broekhuizen (The Victorian Allstars) is leading steals with 4.5 spg equal with Emrullah Pozam (Haggards) .

'Not in My House' Award - Rodrigo Bustos (Sastroopers), Ednélson Nascimento (Downboys) & Rafael Palencia (Chelsea Seagulls) have all been studying Mutumbo videos in the off season and each have 3 bpg.

'Got Clutz'Award - Kent Masters (Chelsea Seagulls) has managed to fumble his way to 9 topg.

'Bruiser' Award - Steve Beach (Downboys) & Guarino Sirocchi (West Coast Steel) have both managed to foul out in every game they have played (Sirocchi 2 times).

Just wandering, with the avg's, do they include cup games or are they solely based on league games ? I know pl and scrimmages arent counted towards the league avg's so just wandering if the cup games are ?

No, league stats are only based on league games.

It is a pity you are wasted in the Tea Cup, we have probably the most lively community in Aussie BB in the Fish Bowl and you would have been a great assett. Maybe in the coming seasons you could join us if the balance of power is right and a place becomes available. I guess at the moment the truth is you may be a little strong, but then again your team doesn't look that fantastic on paper, there are teams with more expensive players and flashy resumes but you seem to be an expert at getting the job done.

I appreciate that ppl enjoy my input. I am actually a long standing member of the [TEA] clan so I was always destined to join the Tea Cup.

Hopefully we can build up the rep of our PL and increase the level of activity as you guys have in your's. We have to sort things out and iron out the creases but I believe in time the TEA Cup will develop nicely. I made the blunder of making our starting time 3am Sat morning not taking the US time factor into account which has been a thorn in my side. Least we'll know for next time I guess. lol
