today when i was setting my tactic for the next cup game,
when i hit the offensive + Defensive tactic...
found some new stuff, not sure if they are new though, since i've never seen them before.
in real life basketball
Outside isolation is basically normal isolation, great for teams that have a great outside player who can also penetrate the lane.
Skill require, Jump Range, Handling, Jump Shot, Inside Shot(lay up), Driving(penetrate)
example, Kobe Bryant, Dwade
Box + 1 is a counter to (1) great outside player.
Basically you play a normal "Zone Defense" but the format is 1 - 2 -2 or 1 - 4. where you put your best outside defender on their best 3pts scorer.
Box + 1 means, normal zone + 1 great defender playing Man on Man defense on their best player.
Example
Putting Artest(defender) on Ray Allen(offense)
Zone as far as i know.
2 - 3 zone = 2 player at the Free Throw line 3 at Base line Inside Defense
3 - 2 zone = 2 player constantly enter and exit the key to prevent 3 second violation, while 3 other around the mid/long range area.
1 - 3 - 1 zone = 1 player at 3pts line, 3 at mid range, 1 in the key
Box + 1 = 4 player guarding the key, while 1 chases their best player.
might as well finish the list
Man to Man
Always on the same player they been defending Via Pre-Tactic set.
harder for opposition to create mismatch
pg - pg
sg - sg
sf - sf
pf - pf
c - c
Full Court Press
Full Court Defense that tries to steal the ball / forces some turn over.
for me Box + 1 is nearly the same as 1 - 3 - 1 zone, but with better inside defense.
