This player was at $70200 with four minutes left until the sale. He was bid up to $72000 three minutes before the sale. The team that won him (sto) then bid him up to $73600 (approx.). After that, he was bid up to $80000, pushing the sale back two minutes. I tried to place bids both when he was at 72000 and at 80000. However, the page wouldn't load and it went to an error screen. I checked back and saw that the auction had ended at the original time, selling the player to the first bidder - at a price of $70200.

Obviously that makes the sale a total sham as high bids were actually deleted and ignored for whatever reason, as was the pushed back time of the sale.

Yeah, but that doesn't explain why higher bids were registered, before suddenly disappearing? I think it was a server problem.

Sucked for me, but I'd hate to be the seller. He lost serious money that he should have made.

No, it wasn't just that the bid button was still available. It was that higher bids were actually registered.

For example, the winning bid was 70300 by Team A. You actually saw 72400 by Team B, 75000 by Team A, 80200 by Team B, etc. (and there were at least three other bids that I saw.) By the last bid, the clock had been pushed back a full two minutes. So for example, let's say the original end time was 8:15, and the last bid pushed it back to 8:17. I went to the page at 8:15, viewing the 80200 bid by Team B (ending at 8:17). I clicked bid, and the page wouldn't load (it was having trouble loading throughout) and after a bunch of refreshes and/or re-access of the page via the TL, the page showed the auction being over, with the winning bid 70300 to Team A.

You can argue that Team A should have reported this because he actively put in a higher bid before winning at the lower price (I witnessed this.) Fortunately I'm bringing it to everyone's attention. Because idk what caused the problem, but obviously it cannot happen, especially on sales by human teams.

Edit: Your explanation could make sense, now that I reread that (and sorry for basically repeating myself in the above post) but I'd like a confirmation that this was the problem. And if so, how were the other bids all placed before the original deadline? It's confusing. I hope it's just the clocks.

Transfers are extended by 3 minutes whenever there is a bid within the last 3 minutes of the auction

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke
Charles: Penn has some good people
A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

I think cheatnsteal knows the 3 minutes rule. The auction ended 40. The problem ist, that the time shown above isn't correct right now. I also had a bid and the auction went on after the shown ending time (without any new bid!)
I justed my TV-text time, it was some seconds away from the server time shown above and this was correct.

example:
player ends: 00:03:00
I bet server time 00:00:20, real time was 00:00:00.
ending time is 00:03:00
but the auction will end real time 00:03:00, the server time shown above will be 00:03:20...

I had this problem some weeks ago.
