Ok, so I've got a 19 year old guy with 8 JS, 11 Is, and 4 DV. He avgs 15 so far and has a few 30+ games under his belt. The fact that he attempts so many shots has got me wondering if I could mold him into a Kevin Durant type player. I realize that his DV is really low, but if I could get him to something like 10 JS, 12-15 JS, and 8-10 DV, What are the chances of him being a 25 a night type of guy. Again, I ask this because he's only 19 and really resemsbles KD being so tall (6'10) and able to score at will, only needed to fine tune his ability.

(btw, how many of you have or have seen a player that reminds you of an NBA guy? Or have thought of a specific set of skills to reflect an NBA guy?)

That is hard to say as there is a lot of factors at play. Matchups is a big one. If the guy that is marking him is good, he can be kept to really low points and alternatively if the guy marking him is crap, your player might have a point explosion. Likewise, a player that averages 25 points in D4 could find it hard to even put up 15 in D2, etc.

In order to play this game successfully, I'd suggest not looking too much into the stats as these can be influenced by a lot of factors.

Being able to score "25 a night" really depends on the league you're in. I had a guy with $3k salary who scored 20 points a game in div IV but he would never crack my roster now that I am in division II. 10 jump shot and 12 IS will score a lot in bottom divisions but at the top it will be of limited utility. What is the player's potential?
A KD type player would probably need much higher JS and quite high JR. You should also not think too much about his height. It has no impact on games, only on how fast a player trains.

If I had to guess I'd say something like this would be what Durant would look like:
(be prepared, these threads always become huge disagreements)

JS 18 JR 13
OD 13 HN 11
DR 12 PS 9
IS 14 ID 10
RB 8 SB 10
ST 7 FT 15

You're basically looking to try to build a player who can score in a variety of ways but who has a number of wholes in his game. Defense with a guy like Durant is a particularly tough issue when it comes to trying to transpose him from real life into BB - the game doesn't differentiate between steals and jamming the passing lane and tough one on one defense. Durany is a very disruptive defender but not a spectacular one on one defender.

I guess the main point is that the ability to score is almost entirely relative to your opponent and Durant's key ability is that he can score in a wide variety of ways. That ability would be reflected by high JS and good levels of IS, JR and driving.

Tommy Saint-Amand( 18 year old) is kind of like A combination of like Peja Stojackovic, I compared Tommy's Box Score to Pejas and they are Similar.
Here is Peja Averages :
Min FG 3fg FT OR DR TR AST STL BLK TO PF Pts
34.0 0.450 0.401 0.895 0.9 3.8 4.8 1.8 0.9 0.1 1.4 1.8 17.2
Here is Tommy's Averages:
Min FG 3fg FT OR DR TR AST STL Blk TO PF Pts
33.3 0.386 0.376 0.530 1.5 5.6 7.1 1.5 2.3 1.2 0.5 3.4 16.8

If i just Improve Tommys JR JS FT and down his SB he would be pretty much Peja

Apart from Pts per game, its nowhere near anything similar.

A 38% shooting % is horrible and a 53% FT shooting compared to almost 90% is similar?

Theres no way you can compare things like that here as its all dependant on the competition you face. Put him in a Div 1 game and his shooting % would be like 5%.

give hm bad teammate and he will score so much in average(i think matchup won't be that imrortant in the long run), but properly you won't be that succesfull with it.

Yeah i tried that, it seems that if a play base offense the ball goes to my better players, and of course he ends up picking up the scoring load. A little more JS and IS, along with a demotion to a weaker league, and I should have what I want.

real shooting percentages are nearly impossible to get especially when you want to have a dominant scorer.
