I Just bought this player today, as a 3'rd trainee. The only problem is that I Cant train OD for more than 6 weeks next season, because my other 18 YO trainee is allready at tremendous OD. I am planning on training JR for lots of next season. Should I train him as a SG? I am also single training. Do you think that training him is worth it, and that he could catch up to my other gaurd trainees by the age of 22? I bought him because of his height, and I want to train him long term (4-5 seasons). do you think that it is worth it? I would like to turn him into a SG.

If I were you I'd train his JS up first. No point having a really high JR if his JS is going to be pitiful.

If you plan on training JR, then I would get another trainee. If you plan on training JS, then maybe train him but at pitiful, its probably still not worth it and will take you a whole season of JS training to get it up to a decent level

I was wondering the same thing... His starting salary is online around 4000. Did you single pos train him for OD the whole season with a very high level trainer?

Yes. I single position trained his OD with a LVL 6 trainer, and it started out at average. The first week I did not train OD though. I plan on training carlsons JS the season after next, and training JR next season, while they are still young.

My apologies.... Sensational

MonkeyBiz you got a point but remember JR/JS work together, if he does JR it also affects JS but not as much, u can say ever 2 pops for JR will do 1 pop for JS, but yeah doing JS will prob be good because he's really low in JS so it will take a while to get him to atleast 6 JS if u gonna do JR. Also how much did you get that trainee for?

Yes JS and JR work together. However you will find that the general consensus is to have JR to be roughly 80% of JS. This is the other way around by a long while too with pitiful JS and mediocre JR. While your assumption of 2 JR pops for every JS pop is roughly in line, his pitiful JS will take forever to get to a decent level. For examples sake, by the time that player reaches mediocre JS, his JR will be near prominent/prolific.

Will that sort of SG really be useful?? At the end of the day, JS is more important than JR. No point having range if you can't make the shot to begin with.

well, if he started out at average, and now he's at sensational, that means he had 6 pops in OD. and that happened in 7 weeks of training if you say that the first week you trained something else. so that's almost a pop per week in OD. even with a level 6 trainer, that seems pretty difficult.
