I played a scrimmage yesterday against my friend, who put his SG trainee in spot of center just to get some minutes. Needless to say, his SG made quite some shot attempts from semi-distance and one three (which went in) and he was third scorer of his team. So I think, especially in outside tactics, your C will probably take quite some shots from midrange and also 2-3 threes.

Although for outside tactic, since your C will not be a "salary monster" and his inside shot will be a bit lower than oppositions', I'd recommend also good passing on such C. If he has atrocious PA and has to make an IS against tougher C, he will always make the bad decision and miss a lot of inside shots instead of passing around.

From my experience JS is the most useful 2ndary for the big men, especially on the outside tactics (motion gets the most from it from my experience) can be quite effective. About JR, is nice to have, but not something that i would train, considering that its really slow to train big men on the guard skills.

In general those mono skilled monsters now are dead. The more all around is your player, the better when its time to sell him.

JS and passing doesn't depend on height. i can't confirm this, just trust me. my 206 trainee had the same pops of both skills as my 185 trainees

I can accept JS, but i am not sure about passing. Debatable thought since some Cyprus big men prospects had fast grow on passing. I dont have personal experience about height/passing so i cant say anything.

btw the one with 206 had 1 pop more in js than the 185 one. i think its because 206 had a very low js at first.

As i said, i cant say anything about passing since my experience about it is very poor, but as a Cyprus NT coach, i have the opportunity to follow several players, so its easier for me to have good sample. My early indications saying that you are right...

I guess that you can read my previous post about the importance of the 2ndaries...I am looking now to improve my SF/PF position, and i cant find any player who fits my needs, right now...A friend recently was looking for a PF too, and after several weeks of searching found a decent one, and spend 4.5M for him on his 25.

I am just backing up your statement...

yes. and it's sad actually. it's very hard to get a star in your team, unless you have infinitive money :) i'm guessing, but i think this started these "tank" seasons, to get money and buy a star. i still think training your own is a way to go. ofc its a long way, but hey, you cant buy it...
