He's exactly right about that, especially i think inside shot although just like he said driving as well.

yea ive been training driving and 1 of my players with proficient driving misses almost every layup! Its crazy....one other player of mine has respectable driving but has mediocre inside shot and he makes almost all layups and they play the same position.

then we could consider that evidence that IS effects layups more than DR. if we were to look at it like it is in real life just being able to get past your guy and go for a layup you will definatley need to be a good inside shot(layups Hookshots etc.,) or else youd miss even if u did outspeed/Ankle your defender and go for the layup or dunk u will probably miss

Driving is secondary skill for every posiyion. ofc IS would matter more to get bigger % at FG, but having at least decent DR doesnt hurt. To get score those oportunities when they come.

why would you want to do that? im counting. its 4th thread about driving and inside shot. there's clear evidence that GM-kozlodoev said truth. still theres guessing and guessing all over the place.

well... I have a player who have tremendous driving but pitiful IS and he always misses layups....

and I have a player with respectable Driving but mediorce IS... but when He get layups, its automatic.

so my hypothesis is:

driving increases the chance for inside shots (layups, dunks etc. for guard)
IS determine how well they finish those chances...

btw have anyone seen a guard dunk for finish after slashing to the paint? I have a theory that it has something to do with inside shots.

IS = ability to finish at the rim, (as the player become more adept, he learns to dunk?)
