i currently train PF/C but i'm beginning to think that PG/SG would be more fun since very few people train them and i can easily buy good big men than good guards. would the transition be easy or should i wait to draft guards at the end of the season?

It takes a bit to blow your team up. I did it in the middle of last season and it worked out. I sold my guys off and replaced them with significantly better ones. Free Agency was a big component - they were just better than my original team and my early trades.

It depends on how much you can get for your current trainees relative to buying new ones. The draft is random on position - you could easily get 3 centers next season. Your best bet is to pile up cash, then shop for trainees over a couple weeks at the start of the season and try not to overpay. Free Agents are often your best bet as they start at lower prices - just have a target price so you do not go too high on any one guy. Remember you will need at least 4 guys, so try and budget for 4 good ones.

I think the overall size of the market is growing and there is a clear premium for great shooters. It definitely seems that an inside focus is easier to use for winning than outside - so you might have a few struggles on the field until you have a competitive team. The key to BB is to have a good balance.

Ah, look at the game records. How do you score a field goal? On a field of course!

Good luck on those big guys.

I dont think you will suffer any major setback if you decide to change.

i would just ensure that anhy transfers in and out make monetary sense.

this after all is still an economic simulator with BB players!

Cash is often king (unless you can sell out your stadium week in week out) and in the next few weeks a lot more interesting players will no doubt hit the TL. If you have cash great.. if not just keep plugging away with the guys you have...

also without checking out your major competitors you just need to be improving on and off the field faster than them.... if you do and are making better decisions on how to train and who to buy/sell you should start to pull ahead regardless of whether you have an inside/outside focus on your team...
