He will be 23 in a few weeks so his best training years are well behind him. Try and look for 18 or 19 year olds if your training from base average\respectable skills.

If you dont have another better trainnee than you can do this but i suggest strongly that you get a younger one with a higher potential

Wait until next season, maybe you get a nice draftee or you can buy someone really worth to be trained on the transfer market - this player is not worth to be trained.

You should really look for the mentor thread, and seek out a mentor who can work with you to make sure you have solid plans in place for training, and overrall team management. BuzzerBeater is a game that time is a very essential element of the game, and the more time that is wasted each week, the more your impeed your teams progress.
Seek a mentor, and your ascension through the ranks should be much more rapid!

I agree, You should not waste your time on him. He is not a terrible player for his price or where you are at. but his growth rate is slow. If you are really struggling for guys maybe he would be acceptable as a number 3 trainee that isn't a top priority. but that is only in a tough situation

That guy is rubbish. Have a 5 minute look on the TL and you can get a much better guy for less than $10,000.
The ONE exception is I can understand wanting to keep one original player and if he is the ONLY one who is remotely worth training then go for it but accept it is a bad idea.
Your trainees are one of the two most important thing for your team in the long term along with money. You need to get a serious group of trainees. The suggestion is good to make them young but obviously if they are better older is good. So if a guy has a salary of $4,000 or less I wouldn't dream of training someone older than 19. Maybe a player of wages $10,000+ would be worth training at age 20 or 21. Also potential while I think overstated (how many people really need or want to pay HoF or ATG potential), try to avoid really bad potentials. All Star is a good base that I try to stick to but some think star is enough - how many teams can't use a $40,000 wage guy even in the NBBA.
