I just watched my team attempt a shot, miss the shot, lose the rebound under the rim, the opponent attempt a 3-pter after crossing the halfway point, and finally watched as my guy apparently fouled him on this last-second shot ... which resulted in the shooter making all three of his shots.

By the way, the rebound was collected at the 0:01 mark. It's a well known fact that it's utterly impossible to collect a rebound from under the rim, pass the ball down the court for a near half-court three point attempt all in the matter of 1 second.

its really that well known ?

the collected rebound could have been a very long rebound in which the ball was grabbed in there half :)

the clock could have really been 1.99 seconds :)

if so that play is completely doable .

though the game engine is flawed

namely in end game subbing / fouling

oh quit trying to make some sense out of this flaw, lol

I agree about teh subbing/fouling

About where the ball was grabbed, it was grabbed under my team's basket after a missed inside shot

you dont know that it does not show where you get the rebound for all you know you may have got the rebound under there ring lol.

all im saying is that it is very possible to do what you stated , it all depends on where the ball was rebounded , which you dont know.

so look at it logically the rebound has to be grabbed closer to there basket then you think.

Only thing about the game engine that bugs me are those senseless timeouts a few seconds intio the third quarter...

It feels as though my coach has called maybe 2 or 3 timeouts the whole season in league games, I wouldn't mind if he called more timeouts even if they are senseless.

And I think everything that has been brought up, is far from 'serious flaws' in the GE

I think the bigger problem is that the game clock "stops" when a shot is taken, especially for long shots. The 3pt shot is taken with 1 second left, and the rebound is collected with 1 second left.
Now, first off, the three point shot will take a good portion of that 1 second arcing through the air before it hits rim/board/etc, (unless it is a lasered line drive). Since the ball has more momentum from a 3 pt shot, the rebound will probably bounce higher or further than a layup or shorter jump shot (unless it is an airball). Since this is a corner 3pter, the ball will probably bounce toward either corner or up, instead of towards half court.
That being said, it is practically impossible for a player to shoot a corner 3pt shot with 1 second left on the game clock, and then for the ball to be rebounded with still 1 second left close enough to half court for the ball to be passed across half court for a three point attempt with time left.

If it was a layup, it would be a bit more reasonable, because the ball does not spend as much time in the air as a jump shot, and is faster to rebound... but still, the game clock should not "stop" when a shot is taken.

(I dont know if the game clock is intended to stop, or if the game engine just pauses/slows down to allow the viewer to see the play by play in slower motion. Either way, the situations with the 3 pt shots would hardly be possible)
