Well, I'd invest 20k or 40k into my scouting and see what I might get. If my new Draft picks don't fit the training schedule, I'll sell them for profit. If they do, I look if I have a worse trainee and sell him.

I assume you want to use him as SF, or, sometimes, as PF (with Defense switched to SF). Getting him to prolific in JS and proficient in Driving or so probably won't hurt. So yes, depending on what your guys look like by then, you could have one season of 2-position training before switching to 1-position training your youngsters. Driving training for Wings is especially beneficial in this regard, as it increases many guard skills at once and hence increases the benefits of elastic training. If you pull a great guard in particular, that might be the way to go.

Even single position trainers have to train rebounding and/or jump shot at some time. Some One on One is often needed too. So if you think you will do badly this season and then get a great draft pick, just train things like OD, PA, ID and IS this season, then next season you can "finish" the older guys while you are "starting" the new one(s).

So You Aint So Confident about next season?

I've alway looked at the draft as a transfer list in way. It would cost 20,000 more per week to max scouting, in hopes the player matches your team. The season is roughly 13 weeks total. That a difference of 160,00. Add to that the value of the drafted player and you could easily be around 250000. I think you could find a better trainee to meet your need for that cost or close to it.
