Unless there are bots left in Div 3 and your lucky enough to go through after a bot cleanup.

There are 8 bot teams between the NBBA and Division II, and those teams will drop all the way down to the bottom of the ladder, leaving 8 extra spots for Division IV teams to promote to Division III. If your record (with point differential as the tiebreaker) is one of the 8 best among DIV teams that didn't win their league, you'll promote.

If you were in division V you would be promoting for certain! You can work it out from that great information from atabakin. Just look at every division IV for the records of teams that wont win their league. The best 8 records will promote anyway. Are you one of them? Easy!

Doesn't it not entirely work this way though? My understanding is that if the team in his conference wins the finals (and they won the 1st game), the finalist from the other conference in his league is in line for bot promotion before he is, even if his team has the better regular season record.

So, it's possible that in addition to anybody who has a better record, he could also be behind any teams that made the finals in other leagues but then didn't win. Which obviously would prevent him from bot-promoting.

I'm not going to say I know this is right for sure, maybe someone can correct me, but I'm pretty sure that is how it works.

Bot promotion for California Supreme, while Zach Squad had to spend another season in D.V.

And I'm like 99% percent sure there was a whole thread a while back (probably 6+ months ago at least) on this phenomenon and the mechanics of bot-promotion wherein this was confirmed by other posters too?

I could certainly be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's not just 'absolute best regular season record'.

Yes, you´re right, i remember that thread, and like in this case, team with worse record in other conference promote
