At first, I'll admit, it seems quite surprising. The big things that stick out to me are his defensive ratings compared to your offensive ratings - he matched you, despite having an inexpensive roster (which could mean he did a great job at training his younger players who mostly seem to be mid 5k for salary now - it'll be interesting to see what/how his salaries jump on monday or tuesday with the update).
He also had home-court advantage; any guesses as to his enthusiasm level? That could drastically effect the game as well.
Statistically, you're pretty even, though he had less turnovers and less fouls; he shot and made more at the foul line and his 3 point percentage was over 50%, compared to your 33%.
Tough luck.

He had the same rebounds as you did, less turnovers, they shot a better percentagem from behind the arc and most of all, you fouled too much because you couldn't stop his offense.
