Basic Answer. 3. Set one per game as starter, backup and bench. Only list 9 players for the game. Choose Fouls: Let them play and Coach: Strictly follow depth chart. Most weeks have 3 games. This one doesn't. You want young age 20 or less, short 6'4" or less and good potential, at least all-star. Don't buy players yet, wait a few days until after the draft.
Welcome to BB. Depending on who you ask you signed up in the best or worst week of the year. You will get 3 new players in a few days, but all your existing players will get a year older tonight which is a pity some look really good.
You have a few urgent tasks.
1) Do your draft list - it may be too late already.
2) Give your existing players numbers before your free supporter runs out.
3) Issue a press release before your free supporter runs out - it lets the other teams know there is someone else real in their league.
As a startup team in division 4 you want to choose at least two players that are as young as possible with good potential to train. You may also want to train one slightly older and better player who you can play in important games. As a new team there are only two things that matter, money and training. By the end of the season you want to assemble a winning team that can make it all the way to the championship and promote.
Your team looks like it has a few useful players but don't be deluded, most of the starting players you are given are worthless rubbish and should be fired right away. (It simply isnt worth selling players who sell for $5,000 or less.)
Obviously I can't see the skills but based on salary, age and potential I would keep:
Salary $3,500+
Rao
Gary
Sheldon
Albert
Shaums
Age <22 and potential > star and salary > $3,000
Shamus (again)
Scott
Modh
Man with funny Name keep for Fun
Fatty
That is 8
I would take the rest of the players and sack them!
Next you need to adjust your arena prices.
Money is a key here so be very careful with your spending. Don't buy any players until you see your draft picks in a few days but I would spend money on two things.
Build 2 luxury boxes for your arena and set their prices to the maximum. These will be a good financial investment.
Buy a level 4 trainer. You can't afford a level 5. Level 3 is pathetic. You can get a level 4 trainer for less than $20,000. Aim for one that has a wage as low as possible, around $10,000 a week is fantastic. If you can find one with Fitness specialisation as well, awesome!
Australia has a strong mentoring program for new teams. If you had been from USA I would have given you a one line answer. Contact me if you want more details.
