I only joined Buzzerbeater recently and have been doing alot of reading on the forums.
I want to train 3 guys this season, I've been looking for suitable trainees and so far there are 17 players who match my search criteria. Only 3 are from the USA but there are 3 from really small countries (less than 40 users) who might be able to make the u21 team if trained right. What is better for merchandising, a USA player or a foreign guy in the u21 team?

Great question. I think both being equal in salary the u21 guy wins just for the weeks he plays on the u21. If he does not play during any given week then there is no boost to merchandising from the u21.

From my experience, the American wins. My foreign U21 and NT players give me nothing for merch.

Looking at your roster, looks like you did exactly what I'm planning to do: train 3 allstar potential guys into SFs.
Great minds think alike ;)

How's your merch been since you sold off Gipson?

It dropped ~$6k from $ 52,974 to $ 47,046 but crept back up to $50-$51k by the end of the season.

I don't think mine's been lower than $65k for the past two seasons.
To the OP: train the local kid.

Yeah not having a USA player on my entire roster doesn't help.
