is this really important?
i have a player, his best position is point guard, but i have trained him for a future shooting guard (and i can give you more examples, not just one.
will he penalized because of it?

Nope, That is merely the position means essential nothing except when calculating salary.

I'm interested too in this stuff because in most of the cases I saw that Pg plays as Pg, Sg plays Sg and so ...
By the way, another question, the best position will be change in the future depending on what I train?

The best position is the position that gives the player the highest salary. Not every manager plays PG as PG, SG as SG. Best position doesn't necesarily mean that he's the best in that position. As an example, my 20 year old trainee's best position is SF but his rating is the highest at SG.

Yes the best position could change in the future, depending on what you train.

Anyway, if the suggested position will change depending what I train, then it's ok.
