Quick Overview of Grading System:

* Players that accumulate 16+ minutes are included in the calculation.

* John Hollingers's Game Score is calculated and then all players that meet the 16+ minutes qualification are compared against the rest of the league's HGS on a Normal Bell Curve

* A player's Z-Score awards them a specific amount of points with a maximum of 4 points for Conference matchups and a maximum of 7 points for a Non-Conference matchup. There are 14 Conference matchup totaling 56 points and 8 Non-Conference matchups totaling 56 points. A player must player ABOVE-&-BEYOND the rest of the league in order to achieve perfection but it is not uncommon for a player to achieve a Z-Score above the max of 3.00 or below the minimum of -3.00. Typically, those that do fall above or below those thresholds are in the 1% category and tend to not have a very heavy impact on the rest of the class.

* Then utlizing BuzzerBeater's method of labeling, I've grouped players accordingly and given them a word grading (i.e. Legendary -> Atrocious).

* All scores are measured against all scores from the very first matchup to the very last matchup. This allows for individual scores to rise and/or fall as we progress through the season. The reason for this is because a Legendary performance for the first Matchup might not be so Legendary by the time the season ends. Typically, scores tend to fluxuate around 0.03+/-, so the awarded points for a matchup do not vary all that much as the season gets closer to the end.

* Any questions, give me a holler. These are nothing more than for my amusement only but can be used for whatever purpose you like. So far, my top ranked player has one the MVP award under the current system of rankings that I have used going back to Season 13. I am considering going back and re-compiling Season 12's data since I have all of the raw stats but used a different system.

* Next post will contain the list of downloadable PDF files for your pleasure.

* Quick Note 1: For files that end in an "a" contain averages (Points per Game, Rebounds per Game, etc). Files that end in a "p" contain percentages (Field Goal %, Three Point %).

* Quick Note 2: Averages and Percentages are the same rankings but I could not fit the numbers on the same page. They are merely used for comparisons when you want to see how your players are stacking up against the rest of the league.

* Quick Note 3: A player's position may not accurately reflect their actual position you use them in. If there are any changes to their actual position, please let me know and I'll go back and correct them. The reason behind that is because player positions tend to pull directly from their first first league matchup and if they played out of position for whatever reason (stupid coaching move, training, etc.), then that will be the position they fall under for the remainder of the ranking period. A good example of this is Clinton Cantrell on my team. He plays the PG/SG position but this first matchup, he played under "C" due to a stupid coaching decision to not put my rookie PF Robert Ocampo into the lineup. Now, unless I go back and correct it on Cantrell's first matchup, he'll remain under the Centers grouping.

Game 2 files have been uploaded.

Strong performances overall but nothing spectacular so far, although I will go as far to say that Mayagoitia is looking very solid so far. He's been a stud in this league for several years now and should he continue playing solid basketball, I wouldn't be surprised to see him break the Top 3 for MVP voting.

BTW, I miss this league. My current league is so damn dead, even with rankings. It's a good thing my sole purpose for being there is to raise my children up right this time around.

Vernon Partridge is playing pretty decent right now over in Barcelona. He's his team's current leader in points and 2nd in rebounds. He's by far their highest paid player, lol. I think they purchased him because they felt his salary would mean total domination in their league.

Rankings have been uploaded for Game 3 matchups

Side Note: I want to thank Azariah (Imperial Phantoms) for his boxscore PBP. I looked over the data that product outputs and man alive there is so much potential for analysis. You will all need to bear with me though as I have to break down each of the files first for trigger events and then develop a tool that will break down depth charts used and the output they produced during their time spent on court together. Between school (3 classes), family, and work, I'll spend a little time here and there breaking these files down and playing with them to see what I can get out of it.
