Hi,
So this week, I accidently happened to play one of my players for 3 games (2 league games and 1 cup match) and he got 91 minutes, and well no surprise, his GS dropped to average. Now that is not my question.
I think the concensus in BB community is that GS from the previous week also affects the GS for this week, so since this player played 91 minutes last week, if I play him for about 40 minutes this week, will the chance of his GS popping back to respectable be higher??? So my thinking is that the average of 91 minutes and 40 minutes is approximately 65 minutes, which is pretty ideal minutes per week, and thus his GS will likely to increase, rather than playing 60-70 minutes this week again, which will make the average about 75-80 minutes and hence likeliness of GS increase is less.
Any experience, suggestions, advice would be great.

And one more question. One of the teams in my league hasn't logged in since 10th of December 2010. As far as I remember, a team goes bot after 6th economic update??? well the next economic update (Monday the 24th) will be the 7th economic update since he hasn't logged in, so can I assume that his team will go bot???

Thanks,

You should play 60 minutes this week to increase gameshape.
Reason being that it isn't 100% confirmed that the previous week's minutes is taken in to account.
And EVEN IF the previous week's minutes are taken in to account, next week you will have to play 90 minutes to average it out.

So just play 60 minutes this week and you will be fine.

If his last sign in date was 10th December, then the 6th economic update occurs on this Monday (there hasn't been 6 economic updates since he was inactive for the week). So this Monday his team will go bot if he doesn't log in by then.

He was too busy tanking the season and selling off his team. Now he is back to normal. Oh, and he did have Law School exams that distracted him just a bit...

I have often wondered this but aren't willing to test it on my players. I just bought a great player but he hasn't played this season so dropped to mediocre GS. So I also wonder what would be the best number of minutes to bring him up to the best possible GS as I too have heard the "it accumulates over weeks" urban myth.

So 0 mins week 1.

Week 2 should I...

Give him 48. I game 100%.
Give min ~60. I game starter 1 game backup.
Give him 90+. 2 or even 3 games as a starter to bring his average up to over 48.

I will be aiming for 60 mins but it would be good to know if actually flogging him this week would help.
