I find it a bit confusing to explain my situation so bare with me and pls do try and help..

I have believed all this time that training happens 3x a week (2 normal league games and a scrimmage/cup game)
and that if I played a certain player at a certain position for 48 mins and trained that certain position that the player played
he will get full training for that week... so I had it down that I could at least train 3 players a week...3 different players for each game playing them 48mins.

so I have been training 3 different players (A,B,C) a week for those 3 different games and was training pressure for those 3
all was going well or so i thought, until I added a fourth trainee (playerd D) I figured i could slide him in the rotation..

what I did was train player A 48mins at PG (pressure) for the first game of the week
and on the 2nd game i trained player B at PG for 48 mins (2nd game of the week)
on the last game of the week (3rd game) i trained player C at PG for 48 mins (tho he fouled out)
Notice that i did not train player D yet as u just bought him and was planning to train him next week.

Now here comes my problem... after the final game of the week (1/20/2011)
I set up my line up for the first game of the new week and for the first game of the new week I was going to train
players D and A at SG/SF (Jump Shot) the game was suppose to be on 1/22/2011

after this Fridays training pop up I found that player B improved on his jump shot and jump range BUT I trained him in last weeks 2nd game at PG (pressure)( I usually play Player B at SG when he is not training) and also a player that I am not training at all who i usually play at SF improved on his driving...

So now i am confused... I trained three ( A,B,C) players at PG (pressure) last week , and after the last game of the week during thursday (before Fridays pop) I set up training for next week (SG/SF JumpShot) how come it affected my players already this week?

thanks for the help!!

If you changed your training from Pressure to Jump Shot BEFORE todays training, your player did not train pressure this week, they trained Jump shot.

So Player B got his Jump Shot training because he played minutes at SG/SF.

You need to wait til AFTER the trainingupdate to set next weeks traning.

You must set your training for next week after training update. Training update is on friday so what training is set on at that time that is what your players will train.

First of all, training doesn't happen 3 times a week, it only happens on friday. Whatever the training you've selected prior to friday will be the skill that is to be trained on friday (trains players who've gained minutes at the training position, ofc).

Anyway, as far as I understand from your description, you're doing the right thing to get the maximum out of the training.
Well your player B got the training for outside defense, and yet he popped in JS and JR. Hmm did you, by any chance, change the training to JS prior to the friday's training??? but even then, that shouldn't be the case, because you played your player B at PG, so even if you accidently happened to select JS training for SG/SF, he shouldn't get any training for JS (unless he's also played as SG in other games, and from your explanation "I usually play Player B at SG when he is not training", I assume he also played as SG in other games, which gave him the minutes played as SG).

But anyway, if you actually trained Pressure (this can be checked on the Headlines, it will say something like "Ronald Tenorio reports that this week's training, which focused on "some skill", is complete."), your player B shouldn't get a pop in JS and JR. According to the training speed analysis, it doesn't say that training pressure trains JS and JR...

What about other players who you trained? did they get any pop in any skills?

First off thanks to those who replied!
I am truly grateful since this situation has confused me by much..

I did change the training before Friday but it was after the 3rd and last game of the week...
so with my understanding I played and train all three players at PG position all for 48 mins
in the weeks 3 games so I do not understand why player B got the pop in JS&JR...

@Samurai_Tungi..
Yes i did play player B in SG on the last game of the week (cup game) but before that
he palyed 48 mins in the 2nd game at PG position. and for game 3 I still had the training
schedule set on pressure since I plan to train player C on pressure on the last game
of that week and Player C did play 48 mins PG with the training set at pressure-- only
after game 3 (the cup game) did i change the training to JS...

that is now why i am confused.... in all the 3 games last week i had 3 different players (A,B,C)
all played PG & 48 mins and the training was set to Pressure... after the last game of the week
(the 3rd game (cup game) I changed the training to JumpShot for SG/SF in preparation for
next weeks first game .....but none of those players got a pop in OD. and player B improved
his JS & JR

Training takes place only on fridays. So, your players from game 1, 2 and 3 will train what is set on friday. They don't get training after game they played. You have to give your players through the week 48 min at position that you set for training (you done that and that is ok). In your case, your players A,B,C played 48 min at PG position. You set your training at pressure and they would get training in pressure if you didn't change training, because they get training only on training update what it is on friday. Player B did get pop because he played at SG position what you set to train for last week because you change it before training update. players A and C didn't play at SG position so they didn't get training.

Yeah, as others have answered what I was going to say.

So sadly your player A and C didn't receive the JS training (unless you've also played them as either SG or SF in other games when they weren't playing as PG).
So just make sure, from now on, training only happens on friday. You can change to whatever training you want to give AFTER the training update is done. If you change PRIOR to the training update, your effort in making your players play at particular position will be useless because that skill you've changed to, is the skill that gets trained.

I hope you're clear now.
