You Should Be Able To Create ONE Player Per Account And Include The Following For That Player:
Player's Name!
Player's Height!
Player's Nationality!

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

What if he turns out to be a 30 year old benchwarmer with a salary of $2,500.

What would be a good idea is if new players could get to create one player. He should be 18, height specified, position specified, nationality same as team, name specified, all star potential (not crippling but not national team potential) and starting salary around $4,000. A good solid trainee that the player will identify with.

This is the sort of thing that may encourage new users to keep on playing, a really solid player that they identify with right from the start.

Maybe it could also be provided as a once off option for older teams during the offseason for some sort of massive fee. Guys like that on the TL typically go for $100,000 or less so if teams were able to purchase a "unique" rookie once in their teams history during the offseason for maybe $300,000 I don't think it would hurt the balance of the game at all.

Too many Major Cocks in the game already?

Well each offseason for only $100,000 any team can rename themselves to something like you said. If there was just a rule that if you chose a name that was deemed to be offensive or was the same as any current or former NBA player you could lose the player (and your $300,000). I think if your real name was Josh Smith and you wanted a player with your name surely that would be ok.

Instead of being able to come up with a name, how about the engine just comes up with 3 random names from the database and you get to pick one of them?

Also I think allstar potential is too high and could be an unfair advantage. Most current "new" teams don't start out with an 18 yo with allstar potential. I could see maybe starter or star, or give them a 19/20 yo

I wouldn't be too happy if I spent 300k on a trainee and the 3 names the engine came up with were all poo.

I already mentioned Major Cock.

Sleet - you are kidding right, give a new player a $4,000 salary 20 year old starter potential and tell them it is a great idea to base their whole team and their training around that "core/foundation" player. Serious?

Three random names, how exciting, that is worth $300,000. Not!

Why is everyone so scared of players actually geting a chance to be creative?

But dude you know the game already makes wacky names.
Major Cock
Will Wankya

These are just recent finds.

How much for Will Wankya? I didn't realise YC won a comp to have his name in the database!!
