So, I'm strolling around the forums, clicked the link to a thread, and Chrome went red, and gave me this:

Warning: Visiting this site may harm your computer!
The website at www2.buzzerbeater.com contains elements from the site hideyourarms.com, which appears to host malware – software that can hurt your computer or otherwise operate without your consent. Just visiting a site that contains malware can infect your computer.
For detailed information about the problems with these elements, visit the Google Safe Browsing diagnostic page for hideyourarms.com.
Learn more about how to protect yourself from harmful software online.

Then it gives me a checkbox that says:
I understand that visiting this site may harm my computer.
With "Proceed" and "Back to safety" buttons beside it.

I've gotten this sort of warning on my Droid's browser a few times before, but this is the first time I've seen it on my laptop. I'm a supporter, so I don't see ads outside of the login page.

Something wrong here?

I'm getting these malware warnings as well. In a few threads in global, some private forum threads, etc. Everywhere.

I think it might be the banner from some "unsafe" web sites. Not sure if it can do any harm to your computer really..
I think the BBs could answer better.

This type of thing has sprung up in the past as well, after a change in advertising (which didn't last long, IIRC).

Hope that's all it is, and can be taken care of swiftly.

I'm now updated to the latest version of Chrome, and it's still happening:
Warning: Something's Not Right Here!
www2.buzzerbeater.com contains content from hideyourarms.com, a site known to distribute malware. Your computer might catch a virus if you visit this site.
Google has found malicious software may be installed onto your computer if you proceed. If you've visited this site in the past or you trust this site, it's possible that it has just recently been compromised by a hacker. You should not proceed, and perhaps try again tomorrow or go somewhere else.

If you understand that visiting this site may harm your computer, proceed anyway.

What I've noticed is that it only seems to be happening in the forums. I don't know if that is relevant or not. For instance, here's the link I clicked that gave me the malware message: (http://www2.buzzerbeater.com/community/forum/read.aspx?th...)

Hi!
Here is the answer by BBs:
Users host their images (logos) on various servers, some of them can be marked as potentially dangerous. You can easily see which ones are the problem and contact the users about it (so they would use another server), but we can't build a filter for the sites since we don't know which sites are marked as potentially dangerous.

So I think thay some american guy causes the problem ;)
If you find who - send him the message asking to change the server of his logo.

Cool. Done.

You can probably close this now.
