I was thinking about training game shape this week, and i'd like to know what the benefits are of training game shape. And how it affects game play, i still don't quite understand game shape.

You're wasting your time. If you'd simply stop playing your starters in scrimmages, your game shape would start to improve. If guys like Mátyás Ku keep playing 114 minutes in a week, they aren't going to be in good game shape. End of story.

Aim to get 50-60 minutes on everyone. If a player already has 60 minutes or more, take him completely out of the lineup for your 3rd game of the week. Let him stay home on the couch and rest a bit.

Thanks for the link, i enjoyed that read. As for the starters, they're not playing in tomorrows scrimmage, one of my starters got 64 minutes, another got 71 minutes and another got 75, so they're definitely not playing tomorrow. I put my bench players in the starting lineup. I think i only have 8 out of 13 players playing for tomorrow. Thanks for the advice. Though i'm not training game shape this week, after reading that threat that you showed me, i've decided not to train game shape.

In all honesty, for a team in your position, training GS is a waste of your time, and won't improve your team. You should be focused on training skills. Let the folks who are battling for the B3 or a Cup title worry about GS.
