So following the salary adjustment in the offseason, does anyone have an idea of what the new salary caps are for each potential? Thanks

Well, salary is not directly related to potential. Potential is reached when a certain sum of all skills (or just those important for certain position) is reached.

I have another question which is regarding capping. Does potential look at all skills when determining if a player is capped or just the ones which are important for a position? In other words, will Inside Shot for PG count towards his cap?

Based on my experience, all skills count toward the cap, although I also think that the weight is not linear: for example, any skill increasing from pitiful to awful will have a negligible impact on capping compared to any other skill popping from marvelous to prodigious.

So, for example, based on the fact that centers typically have, say, very low outside defense and very high rebounding skills, they will veeeeeery likely tend to reach their cap due to RB rather than OD. Still, if you have a C with prodigious OD, that will count versus capping as much as a prodigious RB.

But don't take my word on it, after all these are very extreme cases therefore they're hard to evaluate.

I'm aware that salary is not directly correlated to potential but it is the simplest indicator of how far/close a player is to his potential so that's why I asked for salary ranges. There was a recent thread I read where some managers found that a player would cap once his primary skills totaled up to a certain number, for example, star potential guards would reach their potential once their primary skills (JS, JR, OD, HA, DR, PA) totaled at 65.

I just wanted to see if anybody knew the approximate values of when a player is capped so I'd know when to stop training a player, so either salary or total skill level (or both) would be fine.

Before that turns into a fact for people, would just like to point out that was just based off of 2 players (ie, a very small sample size), but it still could be useful to consider when training.
