Hi guys :)
On draft i found a player, who is 213 cm big, and plays on the guard position..
maybe, he has good primary skills.
i was thinking, of picking him, and then train him as a centre, because he would probably good secondary skills (secondary skills for the centre).

what do you think ?

i hope you guys understood, my english isn't so good :P

What u say could work out well. Although there is a risk that he has really poor big man skills. If he has Awful ID for example it will take ages to get that up to a decent level. Not sure if u have scouted him but if he has high potential and star rating i would be more willing to take a punt.

I don't think its that risky at all.

Even with low big men skills, he can train them up really quickly because of his height. Worse case, you spend a season of training and you end up with a really well rounded player. And next season you can really start hammering his inside skills. He'll be a season behind when it comes to big man skills but it works out in the end cause other people going to slow down to train guard skills later on as well when you can just continue pounding the big men skills.

Personally I'd rather this sort of player then a C/PF with low secondaries. At least this case you don't have to really worry about training secondaries later on

Two seasons in a row I drafted a short C who was a 5 ball standard player with reasonable potential. Both seasons my furure guard with great secondaries turned out to have atrocious JS. Do you know how long it takes to move JS from atrocious to something decent? After nearly two seasons of training (not designed for him and two position) the first one is up to inept. I don't even know why I still have him. I sold the second an 18 year old $5,000 salary allstar for almost nothing.
