I want to try for election for an U21 team but I don't want to break the rules. Here are some of the rules.

In the forums, there is expected to be substantial debate about the candidates for an election. Prior to the second round, there will be only two election threads allowed in a forum. One thread will contain only the speeches of candidates; and the other will be allowed for open debate. Discussion outside of the designated forums is prohibited. Candidates who canvas for votes by bb-mail or in other forums will be disqualified.

So I want to start to show my interest and promote myself but I am worried tha that will be a breach of the rules. Instead this implies that I need to do nothing at all until the time of the campaign and then suddenly "pop up" out of the blue. Wont everyone wonder why I showed no interest before? I don't want to break the rules or be disqualified but it is really against the rules to drop into some forums and say that you will be interested in the elections that are still a few weeks away. Obviously once the campaign is on I will stick to the official thread but for now when there isn't one what can I do?

There are ways to show an interest without actually mentioning that you want to be U21 coach. If you contribute in the forums and help people out with their teams etc.you will become known in the community. Then when the election comes around people will recognise your contribution and hopefully give you their vote.

you could participate already in their forums, and then candidate as on from their inside. And else make it like the other candidate, and try to fight for your votes, in the important week. Else it could get disturbing especially in small countrys whereeven today a lot of "vote me" appears especially in comparision to the normal talk - and such think could also get the user out of the forum(especially since those threads are often pretty unkreativ).

Edit: i like to say it in advance, i think it is better not to say where you want to candidate. try to discuss it general, something like the small nations forum are dead or i am already active in their are ok for me :) if you say i want to candidate in the USA, or the forum of bahamas is dead it getting also an early entry of an campaign. i think you already considered that, but i like to say this in advance ;)

Does anyone know when we can register our interest in running as an U21 coach? I would be upset if I missed the date and didn't even get to run.
