If you mean for 8 rounds of Group Play following by playoff like at current system then it looks quite interesting for me both for B3 and U21/NT Consolation Tournament.

I think B3 is great how it is right now, why change it over and over again if there are few other things that need a fix?

To make it even better. But I agree there are many more important issues at the moment.

this is a fair system and all the matches will be close ones after a few rounds..

If you want be best, you must play with strong teams, not hoping for a good draw and help Random ;)

so that a team aiming for 32nd would find it advantageous to lose a couple of early games.

I don't think so, if you look for 6 wins to promote to the next stage and loos the first 2 games intentionally. Yes you get easier opponent, but you don't have the chanche to get win three while a team which started with two wins have the chanche to get the third one(and fourth) in the next 2 games and if he failed his future opponents are as strong as those from the team with the weak start.

A bad start is a totally bad strategy in my eyes. Especially because the swiss system have a bad order in the first games, so that even teams who start with looses could be very strong and some weak teams get some easy wins.

The problem which may occure, is the "swinging" around the excepted places. So that you are maybe one week better then excepted and the next one weaker and so on. But is it more random then the current system, where the schedule also affect your standing and most likely weaker teams with a easier schedule will be in front of you, or better teams with a harder schedule will behind you.

The question about the swiss system is more, if it is enough game so that it work solid.

I have played in a lot of Swiss tournaments and losing the first round or two can often be a massive blessing if you are just chasing some sort of cutoff to make day two.
