Af first i was training gaurds, then i stupidly decided the day before the training update last thursday to train power forwards and centers in inside shot, because i need some low post scoring. But come training update on friday, the only thing that happen was a drop in stamina with one of my small forwards whom i wasn't training at all.
I've learned my lesson though, when i train one position, i'm going to stick to that position all year long. I'm going train gaurds all season long next season starting this week. But i didn't get any pops last week, and i had trained at least 2 players.
I'm sticking to gaurds from now on, i understand that sometimes you don't get pops. But could the reason be that i switched positions and that's why i didn't get any pops? I switched from gaurds to centers and power forwards, which something i'll never do again. One season i'll train gaurds, another centers and power forwards, how does that sound?
Also i'm hoping to get a couple of big men in the draft that's coming up with good inside shot, at least respectable, because we're a jump shooting outside shooting team, and i'd like to start to be able to score inside. Our problem is is that we just cannot score, and that's the biggest reason i think we were so bad this year, whether or not we made the playoffs.
I'm trying to figure out what offensive tactive is best for our team, i've been successful with run & gun and semi successful with motion. I think we need a bit more defense as well, especially perimiter as you can see in my last league and playoff game. I'll work on pressure some time next season, right now though, i have to boost my offensive flow a lot, which probably means jump shot, jump range and passing, i have plans on moving up to div iv after next season as i really want to win the league next season.
