Maybe this has been said before....

I would like to see the game changed to make it so you cannot recieve gate receipt income for games that you forfeit. If the fans cannot watch a game then why would they pay. I also think you should be severely penalized in the fan survey.

I like that idea, if you forfeit a road game you have to pay the other team's average gate receipt's as a penalty and to reimburse the fans.

We have a team in our leage who looks to have sold off all his players to collect maximum income for the last 1/3 of the season. He's guarnteed of not relagating so he can collect a bunch of money and buy a new team later. You shouldn't be rewarded for not playing the games.

with the new rule he would have 3 or 4 player with salary below 2k and still making big time money.

I totally agree. There should be a refund to the ones that came and didnt get to see a game. But this should only be if the home team forfeits. If another team forfeits he could perhaps pay the attendance as a fee for not showing up without any notice. Perhaps this would lead to less teams giving WO.

Perfectly agree with this.

I think this suggestion has to be implemented ASAP, now more than ever. I've seen lots of people giving WO in the last games of the season just to reach the 5th place (so they hadn't to pay salaries at the end of the season).

Probably need to add or adjust a few things to the original idea to deal with loopholes. Maybe they could do something where a team would have significant long-term damage to their fanbase/attendance for a forfeit or significant reduction in player salary. If you make it so its more than a 1 game penalty but a longer-term one then there would be less incentive to do this. The penalty has to be worse than the benefits.

The fans should be refunded if the home team forfeits. No income is given.
If the away team forfeits, then the home team should still receive income. As it is not their fault.

Check the Suggestions they are important
