The one good thing (at least for me, sorry mate) is realizing how very SLOW can training be after the cap is reached.
Seriously, 6 weeks of 1-pos pressure training on a 6'1" 22-old player and no pops? Damn.
I know it's easy to say this now, but with low potential players (well, at least low for your team) it's good to ask yourself something before beginning training: What do I want this player to be?
Because obviously, with limited potential come limited skills. So an allstar cannot be all-around great PG, but more like either scorer/defender or passer/defender.
That's why I think you should concentrate only on those skills that are important for your team. If you are playing a lot of Look inside/Low post, train Driving and Passing (and IS a bit) and don't train too much Jump Range. And viceversa for an outside tactic.
The main thing when training such a player is which skills contribute more to skillcap and which less. For PGs, that's JR, OD and PA (in that order, I think). So in order to train a limited player, you will have to leave out one of these three.

Zorin is more of a PG (with passing and JR training starting in next season), while Maierle is more of a Shooting guard. I can't develop all important skills equally and that's why Zorin will have not more than Respectable JR, but Sensational Passing, while Maierle will have no more than Respectable Passing, but Prominent or even Prolific JR.
