The first round starts tomorrow. Are you excited? I am. Who do you think will win? And which first round playoff series is the most interesting?

Okay, I think the West will probably be the Lakers...I guess OKC or San Antonio could upset them. Dallas just never seems to go anywhere in the post season.

The East is a little trickier. Chicago, Boston, Miami and Orlando are all worthy teams...not sure if Chicago is ready or Boston is the same without Perkins...Orlando would have to defeat two of these teams on the road...probably not? Does that leave me with Miami?

Don't count out the Nuggets. OKC will have a tough time getting through them. That series has the makings of a great one. Portland with Gerald Wallace could make things interesting also. I think the West is harder to predict than the East. Chicago should get through to the East finals without much trouble. After that if Boston manages to down Miami, the Bulls can take Boston. If the O'Neals are healthy they'll have a good chance against the Heat.

I'm just happy the Bulls are in the position they're in right now. Its been a long time. But I'm not sure they can beat Miami, Boston probably has a better shot at that Goliath.

About Dallas, this might be their last shot with this current Nowitzki led team. And I think Dirk knows that. Let's see how good he really is.

No way the Nuggets get past OKC....and Dallas...I think Nowitzki is part of the problem!

The Nugz? Nuh-uh, the Thunder OWNED them the past two games - they know how to play 'em. Add to that, Gallo/Nene/Afflalo are dealing with minor injuries.

So change your mind about the Nuggets? I think they are the best squad in the playoffs. The club with the most number of good players. They should have won the first game. If George Karl can get his rotations right and Afflalo comes back to play some perimeter defense, this could be the best chance that Denver ever had or will have to win it all. Provided the players themselves believe they are that good as a team.

Really? Win it all? Not an ice-cube's chance in hell.
They might be "The club with the most number of good players"... but they're also "the club with the least number of elite players" still playing... with the possible exception of Indiana, but hell: Granger's better than anyone playing in Colorado.

OKC will win this series.

Sure they lack top tier players, except for Nene, but if they can play together they can get production from literally any of at least 10 guys. It'd be good for the game if they went some distance in the playoffs. That's why I'm rooting for them. They play some slick offence. Easily the best offensive display of any team in the first round of games. Now if they'd just lock in on defense...or maybe they don't have to and could still emerge as the Phoenix Suns of these playoffs. Time will tell.

Not sure how the "best offensive display" truncated into a loss. And whilst their spread of effort is excellent, in the playoffs most teams shorten their rotations anyway.
I like Denver... but I don't see them getting out of the first round.
