The draft scouting has been completed, and it looks like we have a ton of trainable guards. I was pleased to find 4 guards with skill counts of 70+, that also are 18 with allstar+ potential. Skill counts of 70+ are very rare right out of the draft, and most drafts I end up finding 0-2 players in this category. 70 is an arbitrary cutoff point (and there are always lots of guys in the 60s), but it's exciting whenever I see a new prospect up above that level.
While it is way too early to predict what's going to happen with newly drafted players, I thought it might be fun to highlight some of the very best finds of the season 15 draft. I did this after the season 14 draft, when I named the very first BC Toroo U18 select teams:
(170359.1). It's now time to name the 2.0 BC Toroo U18 select teams, and let's get to it!
First, a recap of the selection guidelines. These rosters are announced to honour the play of young Canadians across the country, and have nothing at all to do with BC Toroo. When thinking of excellence, though, what better way to capture things than with the name "BC Toroo." These select teams are my little way of honouring the BC Toroo's impressive run as the undisputed best team in the world.
