This is the official thread of the Scottish U21 team, where I will post all the material (such as player skill requirements), suggestions, advice and comments from other managers.
First of all I would like to introduce the U21 staff that will manage the team for the next 2 seasons:
Manager: Calvin Harris - Granite City
(57643)Assistant Manager:JAMES113 - Scottish Leo
(57644)I also posted the requirements of the minimum skills of players that the U21 manager expects. I realize that right now many of the players in the National Team do not satisfy these conditions but it's important that managers who train young players work towards meeting those goals, especially if Scotland will want to be competitive on the international stage and fight against the stronger teams. Please note that this is not the final version and the requirements might still be altered.
If you have suggestions regarding the skill requirements please send me a Private Message
Player skill requirements:21 years old -
(183110.2)20 years old -
(183110.3) 19 years old -
(183110.4)18 years old -
(183110.5)General advice:The ideal Stamina of a player is Mediocre (5) - Respectable (7). If your player's Stamina reaches Strong (8) or Proficient (9), it will be harder for him to achieve a Proficient (9) Game Shape. So if it is possible, don't overtrain Stamina above Respectable (7) !!
Here is a graph showing what kind of free throw percentages are recorded by players with different Free Throw skills.
http://photosliv.ru/9297.jpg. Using this graph, you can approximately see what kind of Skill your player requires. The minimum Free Throw skill in my opinion should be Inept because anything below that is no better than Shaq. Don't forget that the skill is more important for forwards and centers because they get fouled more, so it would be a good idea to aim for something like Strong.
...stay tuned for more!
